Account Executive (Headquartered in S California, Responsible for sales in the Southwest Territory

Our client is a manufacturer and leader in the flexible packaging industry providing packaging solutions to many market segments such as medical, food, transportation, electronics and agriculture. This is a great opportunity to sell the best products in the industry for one of the most respected names in the industry. 

Beginning salary is $75,000 for the first year plus commission.
 
They are currently seeking an Account Executive to service their territory in California as well as the 11 Western states.  80% of their business is in California and they are looking to supplement and enhance their existing business in those defined territories. Their customers are Distributors and End Users.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Consistently develop, implement and maintain targeted account growth.
  • Be able to prospect; identify and establish new clients in the Western Territory.
  • Ability to close sales to meet or exceed monthly sales goal.
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and payment terms.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to improve communication and customer loyalty to the business.
  • Demonstrate and maintain good business acumen in handling customer challenges; consult with clients to resolve problems and provide on-going support.
  • Keep customers updated with product samples.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense reports.

REQUIREMENTS: 
 
  • 5 plus years of sales experience with a proven track record of generating revenue in a targeted-markets.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of the sales process and overcoming objections; Must possess strong negotiating and closing skills
  • Passion to be creative, educate clients and close deals
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work out of a home office with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain and manage client accounts
  • Ability to achieve and maintain superior customer service
  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Be a problem solver
  • Must be able to travel as needed to make client visits and expect overnight travel a minimum of 2 weeks/month
  • Have a vehicle and a valid drivers license
  • Experience in selling packaging into the food and/or medical industries would be very beneficial
  • Ideal candidate would live in California, preferably Southern California
