Job Description


Our client is a leading company in the electrical services and equipment industry.  They offer engineering and design services for custom switchgear, transformers, and electric motors, and also provide repair and field services for substations and transformers, breakers and switchgear, electric motors and rotating equipment, and VFD's.

Manage regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for the purpose of building and maintaining an on-going business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and to the company.

1. Travel to customer sites to visit customers, build good business relationships, and to generally promote the products and services offered by the Company.
2. Solicit business opportunities that fit the strategic goals and objectives as defined by Company management.
3. Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.
4. Create proposals and quotations for products and services according to pricing policies established by Company management.
5. Identify market potential and potential sales within an assigned region or market.
6. Prospect potential customer base to build awareness of Company offers and build opportunity funnel.
7. Provide expertise and to recommend strategies consistent with the Company business plan.
8. Participate in commercial and promotional activities including, but not limited to, attending trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, developing commercial material to promote the Company.
9. Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within assigned customer base.
10. Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.
11. Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers.
12. Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience - Four year degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience.  A technical degree is highly desirable.  5 years or more relevant experience in sales.

Frequent travel by aircraft and/or automobile is required.  Up to 50% of a work week is expected to include travel to customer’s sites.
