Currently seeking a CFO Advisory Senior Consultant with a CPA Firm in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will possess CPA and ASC606 certifications with at least 3 years of experience in public accounting with extensive technical accounting experience. Will look at auditors or accounting advisory.
 
Requirements of the Senior Consultant
  • CPA and ASC606 preferred
  • BS in Accounting or Finance and minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting with extensive technical accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP standards and requirements
  • Achievement-oriented individual with the ability to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well within a matrix team structure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to think “outside-the-box” to resolve problems
  • Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and research skills
 
Responsibilities of the Senior Consultant
  • Responsible for assisting publicly traded and private companies with technical accounting issues such as consolidation and variable interest entities, debt and equity transactions, and revenue recognition.
  • Serve a critical role and be integral in assuring the financial accounting and reporting practices are in conformity with US GAAP.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate with the client in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical expertise for US GAAP and technical accounting issues.
  • Perform detailed reviews of periodic financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • M&A Financial Due Diligence, including preparation of Quality of Earnings reports.
  • FP&A, including forecasting, budgeting and preparation of pro forma financial information.
  • Assist with fraud examinations.
  • Liaison on behalf of the client with external auditors and internal decision makers.
  • Foster proactive working relationships with clients and cross-functional departments.
  • Execute tasks within assigned budget and provide timely updates to supervisors.
  • Become an expert in a key area of our practice.
  • Attend professional development/training sessions on a regular basis, including software training classes.
  • Supervise and mentor staff and provide timely and effective performance feedback and training.
