Position Summary
Seeking an Assistant Controller who is responsible for the monthly reporting of B2G, B2C, and B2B divisions. The Controller will ensure that all accounting data is accurate and entered timely in the group reporting total. The position would also review and centralize over time processes for reporting that are currently handled separately for B2G, B2C, and B2B.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field and CPA required.
  • 6+ years’ finance experience (public and private okay) and BIG 4 experience required.
  • Expert level knowledge of IFRS and GAAP finance and accounting standards.
  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal control testing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organization technologies, business practices, issues faced, and problem resolution.
  • Experience with an accounting software and with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent verbal/written, presentation, and leadership skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a finance shared services organization across all North America businesses.
  • Contribute to the roll-out of the group finance core model and core system.
  • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role (AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting).
  • Support VP Corporate Finance for communication with parent company financial department.
  • Prepare local audited consolidated financials for company, including footnotes.
  • Collaborate with shared services center to obtain required data and ensure that processes are effective.
  • Prepare high-level unaudited consolidated financials on a quarterly basis.
  • Be primary contact for auditor’s documentation, including support for audit of group reporting and local consolidated financials.
  • Oversee the cash management of the company, including cash projections and monitoring cash activities.
  • Monitor accounts receivable collection; provide regular analysis of overdue receivables to management.
  • Analyze and approve all accounts payable payments and work with shared services department to optimize accounts payable process.
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls for corporate.
  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early warning of cost-overruns.
  • Work consultatively with the respective corporate departments on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Approve payroll for corporate departments.
