Job Description
Our client is looking for a qualified candidate to fulfill the role of Automation & Robotics Manufacturing Engineer.  Work with a worldwide industry leader being part of an experienced international team that focuses on a global vision and core values which will offer you growth and continued opportunity.    
TERRITORY:   SE of Milwaukee, WI
  • Create workforce standards, equipment and workspace design layout for max efficiency, as well as, responsible for tool and gauge
  • Work with Product Development Team regarding tooling to ensure efficient production methods
  • Implement and improve manufacturing methods via process and capital budget improvements and equipment modifications through development and evaluation
  • Position is responsible for document control
  • Using manufacturing instructions, provide technical assistance
  • Provide support to procurement department in regard to the purchase of materials, parts, and equipment making sure they meet specs and quality standards
  • Ensure efficient production methods by collaborating with Product Development Team
  • Collaborate with staff in regard to production schedules and manufacturing capabilities to continually improve and understand the production processes
  • Create budget for Engineering Group and not exceed set budget for department
  • Provide estimated costs, staffing requirements and production timeframes for management decisions
  • For future manufacturing requirements, evaluate and apply statistical methods
  • Promote teamwork, respect, creativity employment and confidence within the department
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related engineering degree.
  • Background in hydraulics/fluid power or manufacturing
  • Effective problem solving capability within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of industrial technologies, automation and LEAN manufacturing

  • Experience with several automation projects
  • Good project management experience
  • Experience with integrators and ability to evaluate suppliers
  • Good long range planning skills—able to look 3-5 years down the road and anticipate future needs and upgrades
  • Strong negotiation communication and persuasion skills
  • Someone who has seen several projects through from start to finish—experience with assembly and machining automation lines
