Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee and manage all engineering and related activities including programs, projects, process, design, building, and health and safety. The primary functions include APQP, design control, process control and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Selects, develops, trains and supervises engineering and maintenance staff.
• Responsible to complete all projects and design activities within schedule and budget.
• Ensure plant, building and processes are maintained effectively and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage and delegate appropriate QMS/EMS Management System activities within departments.
• Costing and estimating product and production tooling for key programs
• Must possess strong analytical approach to problem solving to deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead and work in cross functional teams.
• Strong Project Management skills
• Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethic.
• Confer with management, production, and sales staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing settings.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience engineering administration, directing other engineering activities and capital improvement projects
• Strong background in a rubber processing and/or manufacturing of rubber products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
• CAD experience with 3D/2D software packages
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Computer literacy
• Ability to coordinate and direct multiple projects and assign staff appropriately to meet deadlines.
• Work well with outside customers.
• Design, MSA skills as outlined in ISO Reference manuals.
• Possess ability to work well with all management levels and between all departments.
