Insurance Account Executive Job Description


Primary Responsibility is to generate leads and write policies for Home, Auto, Umbrella, And Life insurance policies.



  • Lead Generation Responsibility – The Account Executive will need to produce their own leads by forming Referral Partnerships with key industry professionals. Lending officers and Realtors are the primary targets that will generate the best return on time. The Account Executive will need to be capable of establishing and maintaining their own partnerships.

  • Closing the sale – Account Executive will also be responsible for closing / binding the policies leads that they generate. This will require product and systems knowledge that will be taught during training.


Successful Account Executives are driven and self-motivated to accomplish goals of the primary responsibilities above. Public speaking, personability and follow up are key to establishing partnerships, while professionalism and integrity help close the sale with new clients.


The pay structure will align with the type of candidate that has the proper skill set to be successful in this role. Success in this role will require full ownership of the responsibilities above. Residual income will be offered as part of the pay package.


Insurance Account Executive Responsibilities:



  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers

  • Prospect and contact potential Referral Partners to build network

  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline

  • Reach agreed upon Referral Partnership targets by deadline

  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints

  • Create sales material to present to Referral Partners


Insurance Account Executive Qualifications:



  • Property & Casualty License required

  • Candidates must have experience in generating their own leads

  • Ability to build rapport with partners and clients

  • Public Speaking

  • Deadline and detail-oriented


Software Experience



  • Microsoft Office

  • CRM platform
