Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Assist mechanics with jobs. Includes trouble shooting and providing on-the-job training.
  • Visit new equipment installation job sites; performs quality audits to ensure maintenance work is being completed efficiently and in a cost effective manner.
  • Perform job audit to identify issues that could affect equipment reliability and provide feedback and recommendations for the improvement of future installations.
  • Use accounting reports to review profitability and call backs; provide feedback, data and reports to management.
  • Assist with safety training.
  • Provide technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid repair work. Includes calculating labor and material costs.
  • Provide feedback to service manager prior to field evaluations and performance ratings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state and local code requirements.
  • Maintain strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes, and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Includes working with regional field trainers.
  • Determineswhat materials need to be ordered for service, repairs, and orders parts.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma/GED is required; college degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory/managerial role, particularly in the elevator industry required.
  • Ability to promote and embrace a culture of safety
  • Requires at least three (3) years of experience in a technical, electro-mechanical job, such as HVAC, Industrial Controls, Fire/Security, Elevators, etc.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and comprehension skills
  • This position requires the demonstration of excellent customer service, project management and conflict resolution skills
