Join one of the fastest-growing specialty chemical companies in North America!  Our client is a true industry leader in retention and drainage and wastewater treatment applications within the Pulp and Paper industry.  As a Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for the daily sales, service, and problem solving activities within the paper and/or paperboard manufacturing process while working closely with your customers to achieve their longer-term strategic goals. This position is a HIGH VISIBILITY role supporting a large base of business with established customers in Northern Louisiana.  This role demands daily interface and relationship building with Operations, Engineering, and Senior Mill Management.

QUALIFICATIONS for this role include: 
 
  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Chemistry or related Technical degree
  • 7+ years of specialty chemical Sales, Process Engineering, or Papermaking experience in the Paper industry
  • Knowledge of papermaking wet end chemistry/chemicals such as:  flocculants, coagulants, dye fixatives, internal/surface sizing, wet/dry strength resins, starch, defoamers, biocides, fungicides, felt cleaners, deposit control, etc.
  • Experience with various paper manufacturing processes including:  paperboard, recycled linerboard, coated/uncoated fine paper,  newsprint, tissue & towel, and packaging grades
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Well-developed data analysis skills with the ability to correlate paper machine runnability and finished sheet properties with trends and changes in wet end chemistry and mechanical/hydraulic factors
  • Clear track record of high achievement
  • Highly-motivated entrepreneurial drive with the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • NO overnight travel is required in this territory
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
 
Compensation includes a very attractive base salary commensurate with experience, bonus potential, vehicle allowance, laptop, phone, excellent benefits, and paid time off.  Relocation assistance is available for outstanding candidates.
