Supply Chain Analyst – Sourcing
  • A well-established company in Chicago is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst that will specialize in analyzing vendors and strategies for the sourcing team.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing the sourcing strategies for raw materials necessary to complete operational projects.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the acquisition of raw materials, and commodities adhering to company standards and established commodity strategies, while ensuring the lowest total cost, desired quality, and required delivery terms
  • Analyze vendor relationships, performance and delivery with internal partners and lead matrix management efforts and initiatives.
  • Analyze commodity strategies to create supply chain efficiencies and reduce commodity purchase costs
  • Research and analyze overseas and domestic suppliers. 
  • Interface with sourcing managers, engineering and supply chain teams
  • Research and analyze sourcing initiatives that provide detailed service commodity strategies that identify objectives, leverage spend initiative, and milestone timelines
  • Process optimization initiatives
  • Support goals and objectives as established by procurement management
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Ideally in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related degree.
  • Masters or MBA preferred
  • CPIM, CPM, APICS or CSCP certified is preferred
  • 1-3 years in purchasing or sourcing analytics.
  • Experience will include: vendors, PO’s, sourcing analytics, inventory analysis and supply chain analysis
  • Must have strong MS Excel experience.  Experience with ERP software, Access, JD Edwards, or similar systems are preferred
  • Experience working with components, metals, electronics, complex parts, machinery or similar raw materials is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership skills and strong analysis skills
